Sialorhoea - Pathophysiology - Archived
Sialorrhoea can be caused by three different factors:
- Excessive production of saliva*
- Inability to retain saliva in the mouth
- Difficulty in swallowing
* Excessive production is not a problem in itself unless accompanied by one or both of the other two factors.
